RaeLynn and Adley Stump battled each other in The Voice Season 2, Battle Round 1 on March 5, 2012.
The members of Team Blake sang "Free Fallin'" by Tom Petty, after being mentored by Miranda Lambert (Blake's wife) and Kelly Clarkson.
Christina Aguilera preferred Adley's powerhouse vocals, but Adam Levine praised RaeLynn's unique tone. Blake agreed with Adam — he loved RaeLynn's ability to tell a story, and it probably didn't hurt that she reminded him of his Grammy-winning wife!
In the end, Blake chose RaeLynn, eliminating Adley.
