Christina Aguilera used to be the only pop diva who ruled The Voice stage, but we recently learned that pregnant Colombian singer Shakira (and her hips) will be taking over in Spring 2013.

Though she’s only a temporary replacement, Shakira has already seamlessly slipped into her diva role.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, sources say that Shakira will be making $12 million for her season of The Voice. That’s a lot of onesies for the Latin bun in her tiny oven.

But what’s more shocking than this steep number is the fact that R&B singer Usher (who is replacing Cee Lo Green) will only be making a measly $7 million!

It could be argued that Usher, with seven Grammys to Shakira’s two, is the bigger star. He’s had countless hit singles, is responsible for discovering pop sensation Justin Bieber, and has some serious dance moves.

Not that Shakira should be discredited. The singer is also known for her sexy dancing, eight Latin Grammy Awards, and singing 2010’s World Cup theme song, “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)”.

But does she deserve a salary almost double Usher’s? Tell us what you think below!
