On tonight’s first battle round episode of The Voice Season 3, Alaskan native JR Aquino went up against Peruvian singer Diego Val on the classic '80s hit “Jessie’s Girl.”

Coach Cee Lo Green and mentor Rob Thomas worked with both singers to get them ready for the battle. And though Diego was the one who struggled the most in rehearsal, Cee Lo ultimately chose him as the victor, saying he could do more with his voice.

YouTube sensation, JR Aquino, wasn’t saved by any of the remaining judges.

Do you think he deserved to stay in the competition? Weigh in below!
