Now that The Voice has become America’s top music competition show, contestants from other shows are coming out of the woodworks to try their luck on a whole new platform. Yesterday, former American Idol Season 3 finalist Jon Peter Lewis (JPL) announced that he auditioned for Season 4 of The Voice.

“Hey all. I auditioned for The Voice on NBC! Check it out on March 25th to see how I did. #thevoicemarch25,” he tweeted.

The former Idol contestant made it to the Top 8 and was eliminated the week before Jennifer Hudson’s shocking exit from the hit show.

Ultimately Fantasia Barrino went on to take the top prize, but JPL never gave up his dream of singing.

Now this Elvis lover will take on coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Usher, and Shakira. Do you think he’ll come out victorious? Watch the clip of his final performance on American Idol, and tell us your thoughts below!
