Flashing images of next week’s performances on Monday night, right after we’ve been through battle, really isn’t fair. We’ve just fought for, and lost some of, our favorite contestants from The Voice Season 2, and now we must hold our breaths as we prepare for next week.

But thankfully, NBC has released some sneak peeks in addition to next week’s preview. We have dissected the content, and are now prepared to make our predictions not only for battle round 3, airing this coming Monday (March 19), but also for the following week’s final episode of battle rounds.

This week it will be:

Team Blake
Gwen Sebastian vs. Erin Willett
ALyX vs. Jermaine Paul

Team Cee Lo
The Shields Brothers vs. Erin Martin

Team Adam
Angel Taylor vs. Katrina Parker
Pip vs. Nathan Parrett

Team Christina
Jonathas vs. Ashley De La Rosa

We’ve already seen preview clips for Gwen vs. Erin and Pip vs. Nathan, but we’re still in the dark on the other performances. One of the most interesting pairings is on Team Cee Lo.

The “Forget You” singer paired rock duo The Shields Brothers with former model and alternative singer Erin Martin. We’re curious about the song choice, because that could definitely affect who moves on. Erin and The Shields Brothers were both fan favorites, but Erin caught Cee Lo's eyes and ears, so this could be the end for the show’s brotherly love.

There are also some contestants who did not have the advantage of having their full blind audition and back story aired on NBC. ALyX, Ashley De La Rosa, and Nathan Parrett received about 10-20 seconds of air time, making them seem less significant in the competition when pitted against other contestants we know more about.

Do the lesser-known singers who were picked by only one judge have a shot? Our instinct is no, but you know what they say about assumptions!
