The Voice Season 2 Runner-Up Juliet Simms Is Working on a New Album! (VIDEO)

When we last left Juliet Simms, she was in tears, clutching onto Jermaine Paul and waiting to hear the results of The Voice’s Season 2 finale.

And though many (including us) predicted Ms. Simms would be the winner, the title ultimately went to Jermaine. But that hasn’t stopped this gritty rocker from pursuing her passion.

Yesterday, she spoke with The Insider about her upcoming album.

“I’m writing a lot,” Juliet spilled. “I’ve been writing with great, great writers and working with great producers. We’re trying to marry [classic rock] with something that could be accessible, something that could be played on the radio at this time.”

The former Team Cee Lo contestant describes her new sound as “Joan Jett meets P!nk [and] Michelle Branch.”

We can’t wait to hear what Juliet’s been working on. On Aug. 12, she tweeted a photo from inside the recording studio, so hopefully we’ll be getting some new material soon!
