The Voice Season 2 Scoop: Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine Are the Ones to Watch This Year
NBC's hit show The Voice returns for its second season in just a couple of weeks, and that can only mean one thing for the coaches: It's time to get their heads in the game!
According to host Carson Daly, it's going to be an all-out fight to the finish. "There will be a lot more inner competition between our four judges," he says. "It might get a little out of hand."
Nonetheless, the judges insist the show drama hasn't affected their friendships.
"My favorite thing about this show is my relationship I have with the other coaches," country crooner Blake Shelton comments.
"Everybody's so cool and so cordial and considerate of each other," says Cee Lo Green. "But we're still competitive."
There is, perhaps, no judge more competitive than Christina Aguilera. "I think Adam and Christina will be the two to really watch this year. Christina really wants to win," Carson dishes.
"I think she's going to try to keep the boys at bay, and take a big, prominent step up to the front and say, 'Hey, I'm the coach you want to work with.'"
Adam Levine's contestant Javier Colon took the title last year, which gives the Maroon 5 frontman a slight advantage over the other judges. "He has really raised the bar," says Carson.
Xtina's not intimidated though. "I'm really excited this year. We're going to play hard, work hard, and win big," she says.
And no matter what, Adam's got nothing but love for his fellow coach. "Christina's great. It's a friendly competition, but there's no actual hatred. We're all good."
To see it all go down, tune in to the premiere after the Super Bowl on February 5, 2012.
