By the time the teams reach the new “Knockout Round” on The Voice Season 3, there will still be 40 contestants remaining. And if you love this season’s new battle round format, get excited, because we have two more weeks and four more episodes left of contestant-stealing goodness.

And speaking of more Voice, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that on Tuesday, Oct. 30, we’ll get an extra hour of knockout rounds!

What are the knockout rounds, you ask? It’s a new feature this season that in two episodes will cut the number of contestants in half to prepare for the battle rounds.

But NBC can’t eliminate 20 contestants in only three hours, so they’ve extended the Tuesday night episode to two hours. The knockout round on Tuesday, Oct. 30 will run from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET, pushing back the regular programming (Go On and The New Normal) one hour.

We’re never disappointed when more air time is spent on The Voice — especially when it’s spent making the teams more intimate and memorable.
