Last night’s battle round performances on The Voice Season 3 were a mixed bag, but there were a few standouts throughout the two-hour show.

While we were a bit perplexed by some pairings (Julio and Terisa) and shocked by the results of others (Benji and Sam), there was one battle that wowed us from start to finish: Team Christina’s Joselyn Rivera and Sylvia Yacoub.

At first it seemed like Sylvia’s powerhouse vocals would overwhelm her teammate, but Joselyn held her own throughout their battle of Beyoncé’s “Best Thing I Never Had.” Their harmonies were spot-on, balancing each other out perfectly throughout the song, but Sylvia’s intense “fire” wowed their coach, Christina Aguilera, a bit more, with the pop diva ultimately crowning her the winner.

But it didn’t matter in the end when Adam and Blake immediately hit their buttons for Joselyn! After a few questions, she turned down the country singer for the second time, joining Team Adam for his last “steal” of the competition!

We’re glad both contestants made it through, and it’s no wonder considering they had the best performance of the night. Do you agree with our winner? Weigh in below!
