The Voice continued its live shows last night, with Team Christina and Team Cee Lo singing their hearts out. The performances were all impressive, with song choices ranging from pop hits to classic ballads, but one contestant truly stood out.

Team Christina’s Sylvia Yacoub stepped out of her comfort zone and sat down at the piano, performing a stripped-down version of Katy Perry’s "The One That Got Away.” The song started out slow, soft, and sweet, but built to an incredible finish, getting the crowd on their feet as she belted the final chorus.

Sylvia’s vulnerability came out in this song, showing that she’s not just fierce and intimidating, but also a true artist. The performance also showcased her versatility and musical talents, playing the piano barefoot as she belted out the tune.

Naturally, the judges all gave her rave reviews, and Cee Lo said if he was being unbiased, it was probably his “favorite performance of the night,” impressed by her multi-tasking and musicianship. Her coach, Christina, agreed, saying that she’s a “tried and true artist.”

All of the compliments caused Sylvia to break down into tears, and honestly, seeing this new side to the singer made us love her even more.
