NBC constantly experiments with the structure and rules on The Voice, and while some may find these changes confusing, we see them as the network’s desire to constantly improve.

These adaptations have ranged throughout the course of this season including “steals” during the battle rounds, the knockout rounds, and the new rule which doesn’t guarantee each coach a spot in the finale.

And now that Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine are already out of contestants, only three contestants will be in the live finale on Dec. 18.

Previously, the finale has consisted of a Final 4, one coach from each team, but now that the coaches aren’t guaranteed a spot, the Final 3 will give us a chance to get to know the top contestants better.

Wetpaint Entertainment asked Team Blake’s Cassadee Pope about the changes last night on the red carpet and she had an interesting take on the matter.

“I think this time, having [three] people is a great idea because it gives America more of a chance to get to know just the [three] people more personally whereas the four, you have four different personalities you have to get to know and connect with,” she told us. “I think it’s a good change. I like it.”

Are you excited about this new change or do you wish the finale still had the the Final 4? Weigh in below!
