In last night’s terrifying live results show on The Voice, the one contestant who didn’t have anything to worry about was Team Cee Lo’s Trevin Hunte.

But when Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with the fan-favorite after the show, he claimed to have been incredibly nervous. So what gives this talented singer the confidence he needs to succeed on the show? Read on to find out!

Wetpaint Entertainment: How does it feel to have made it this far?

Trevin Hunte: Oh man! It’s the best feeling in the world. I’m so happy. Waiting on the stage for Carson [Daly] to say my name was the most nerve-racking moment in my whole entire life so I’m so glad that it’s over and that I get a chance to just sit back and relax for a couple of days.

Everyone loves you, but I’m sure you’ve still received some advice that’s been a little bit difficult to swallow. What’s been the toughest advice that you’ve had to take and overcome and apply to what you’re doing on the show?

At first it was unheard of for me to be confident, and I feel that being around Cee Lo and having him coach me and teach me I feel like my confidence level has boosted dramatically and I’m so excited to be a part of his team.

Who were you most shocked to see go home tonight?

To be honest, I feel that I’ve grown so close with everyone on the show that it was very devastating to see everyone go. I feel like everybody on the show is equally talented. I feel like it’s a show and it’s a competition, and we all came into this thing knowing that only one person would win so somebody has to go home in order for us to make it to the Top 12.
