Though he placed fourth on Season 2 of The Voice (potentially due to his coach Christina Aguilera’s on-air feud with Adam Levine), Chris Mann has wasted no time getting his life and career back on track.

The classically trained singer announced his recent engagement to actress Laura Perloe last month, and has just been signed to Faircraft record producer Ron Fair’s new Universal Republic imprint.

Chris will be creating his new album with producers who have worked with Josh Groban, Il Divo, Mariah Carey, Madonna, U2, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, and Charlotte Church.

The singer made a name for himself on Team Christina with his operatic background and cross-genre talents. He wowed us on classic songs like “Ave Maria,” and showed his staying power in more popular tunes like Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida.”

Though the singer has a background in opera, he has proven he can make it in today’s pop industry as well, performing as a Glee Warbler and creating the theme song for Khloe and Lamar.

We’ll be interested to see what type of album he’ll produce since even he has admitted to being “half Josh Groban and half pop.”

Would you like to see Chris produce an opera-based album or a pop album?
