Everyone needs to stop hating on our girl Christina Aguilera.

After receiving heavy criticism for eliminating fan-favorite contestant Jesse Campbell on Monday, April 16, Christina was under even more scrutiny after meeting Justin Bieber during The Voice’s elimination show on Tuesday night.

Justin appeared on the show to debut a clip from the music video for his latest single “Boyfriend.” As he was leaving, the Biebs jumped off the stage to greet the four celebrity judges. There was a slightly awkward moment when Christina put her hand out for a handshake just as Justin went in for a hug.

The diva corrected herself and hugged Justin, but when he moved on to coach Blake Shelton, people were fixated on what some called Christina’s “death glare.”

If you were actually watching the show in its entirety and not just a hardcore Bieber fan tuning in for his big announcement, you would know that at the time of Justin’s appearance, Christina was going through a rough patch.

Two members of her team, Ashley De La Rosa and Lindsey Pavao, had both performed their last chance songs which had moved Xtina to tears — a first for this season.

Justin came on the show right after Christina cried and just before she had to make the painful decision of who to eliminate.

Despite these conditions, the singer still responded to the media criticism yesterday tweeting, “Haha! The media loves spinning stories… Can't a girl have a little#BieberFever after getting kissed by the Biebs?”

Who would have thought that Xtina was a Belieber? What do you think of her reaction to Justin? Cold or misconstrued? Comment below!
