It seems that not everything was magical in the Disney studio.

Though Voice judge Christina Aguilera and contestant Tony Lucca go all the way back to their Mouseketeer days on Disney’s Mickey Mouse Club, their past seems to have sparked a feud rather than a friendship.

On last night’s live show episode of The Voice (April 9), Christina criticized Tony’s performance calling him "one-dimensional." She also implied that he was popular in the competition due to “celebrity sway” more than actual talent.

“To say we had some catching up to do is putting it lightly,” said Tony Lucca on the red carpet after the show. “I’ve been at this for a while and making a lot of records and singing a lot of songs and to come on a show like this and get that kind of criticism, it seems like maybe there’s some ulterior motives. At least it’s hard for me not to read into that as some type of strategy for her.”

Those are some bold statements coming from a contestant who is up for elimination tonight. But he was also complimentary of his former co-star.

“At the same time it’s an opinion,” Tony said. “She’s very eloquent. She’s very smart. She does know what she’s talking about when she gives her appraisal of everyone. But I can’t let it ruffle my feathers. I think Adam’s response is the one that matters the most to me.”
