Originally we thought NBC was giving us an extra special treat when they extended their Voice schedule to Mondays AND Tuesdays this fall. But according to the Hollywood Reporter, the upcoming premiere week of our favorite music reality competition will be three times the fun.

NBC has announced that Wednesday, Sept. 12 will feature an additional hour of blind auditions footage starting at 8 p.m. ET.

This news comes after the network already extended the show to run on Mondays and Tuesdays this fall. That’s a total of four hours of blind audition goodness in The Voice’s premiere week.

As far as we know, the Wednesday extension only applies to the first week, but with a host of new contestants, new rules, and the new knockout round, we wouldn’t be surprised if the show continued to push the limits of air time.

The Wednesday addition does cut into The Voice’s main fall competition, The X-Factor, which premieres the same night and at the same time on Fox. Could this late extension be a jab at Fox’s lower American Idol ratings?

What do you think? Will you be watching The Voice Monday through Wednesday? Tell us below!
