Team Adam‘s Amanda Brown sang Adele’s “Someone Like You” on The Voice Season 3 live show tonight, Nov. 26, 2012, but it was nearly unrecognizable.

Instead of singing the song as it was originally written, she and her coach put a powerful spin on it, making it more like a rock song than a ballad. She put all of her emotions into her performance, impressing both the crowd and the panel of coaches.

Blake raved about how they made an “Adele song an Amanda Brown song,” and Christina called it a “powerful, dynamic vocal” that was “something different.” Amanda's coach loved the transformation of the song, ultimately saying, “Tonight, you knocked it out of the park.”
