Team Adam‘s Bryan Keith tackled a Billy Joel classic on The Voice Season 3 live show tonight, singing “New York State of Mind” on Nov. 19, 2012.

Accompanied by only a piano, the native New Yorker put all of his emotions into the song, interacting with the crowd as he belted out the notes.

Christina said she could tell that Bryan connected to what he was singing, calling it “heartwarming,” and his coach, Adam, agreed, saying, “You really did that song justice — you brought it to life and made it your own.”
