Nicholas David and Melanie Martinez took the stage on The Voice Season 3 tonight, Dec. 4, 2012, singing Fiona Apple’s “Criminal.”

We’re not sure if this was Christina’s song suggestion — she did give Melanie criticism last night by singing it, after all — or if it was just coincidence, but we do know that these two sounded great together. Their unique voices blended in a surprisingly amazing way, balancing each other out, and Nicholas’s piano accompaniment didn’t hurt, either!
