Team Adam’s Melanie Martinez decided to tackle a popular new song on The Voice Season 3 live show tonight, Nov. 26, 2012, singing Alex Clare’s “Too Close.”

The young singer delivered a balanced performance, showcasing her emotions and a bit of power at high points. Her haunting voice had the crowd clapping along and the judges singing her praises.

“Your voice, it just melts me,” Blake said while getting excited that she brought back the tambourine. Christina called it her favorite performance thus far, saying the song “fit her like a glove.”

Her coach, Adam, closed out the commentary by saying, “I love seeing an artist up there that is concerned about every aspect of the performance … I love what you do so much.”
