Team Blake’s Terry McDermott made a bold decision tonight, tackling his coach’s hit song “Over” on The Voice Season 3 live shows on Nov. 26, 2012.

The Scottish rocker wanted to showcase his versatility, and he definitely did that by going for a country song. And by putting his own rockin’ twist on the tune, he got the crowd on their feet and impressed the coaches, even earning a standing ovation from Blake!

Adam joked with Blake, saying, “Oh, so that’s what that song’s supposed to sound like!” but continued with compliments. “The precision which you hit those notes is inspiring to me, man, and you’re one of the best singers in this competition.”

Terry’s coach, Blake, couldn’t stop raving about his performance, saying, “You just performed that song how I always wish that I could … it was amazing to hear it that way.” In fact, he even claimed this rendition was the way it was “meant to be.”

With the new setup, fans can vote for their favorite contestants by calling in, voting on Facebook or NBC.com, texting (for Sprint users), or by buying their song on iTunes. If you liked Terry’s performance, be sure to vote at the end of the show!
