Team Cee Lo’s Trevin Hunte tacked Bette Midler’s iconic “Wind Beneath My Wings” on The Voice live semi-finals tonight, Dec. 10. 2012, backed by an array of beautiful instruments.

After dedicating the song to his middle school, the soulful young singer crooned the classic tune, holding out powerful high notes in a classy black and white tux. He impressed all of the coaches — even inspiring Christina Aguilera to tell a story about her childhood.

“That song really took me back,” Xtina said, reminiscing about her days as a 7-year-old wedding singer who frequently tackled the tune. “But I never sang it as crazy great as that.”

“I’ve seen you become more confident and refined and sure of yourself,” his coach, Cee Lo, said, closing out the commentary. “It’s always a pleasure — it’s always my pleasure.”

With the new setup, fans can vote for their favorite contestants by calling in, voting on Facebook or NBC.com, texting (for Sprint users), or by buying their song on iTunes. If you liked Trevin’s performance, be sure to vote at the end of the show!
