Team Cee Lo‘s Trevin Hunte changed things up by singing Usher’s “Scream” on The Voice Season 3 live show on Nov. 19, 2012.

The powerhouse singer took a risk by tackling an entire new genre, but showed off his fun side by interacting with the crowd and pushing his voice to a new level.

“This isn’t my favorite moment, but you could sing the dictionary, man, it doesn’t matter,” Adam said, and Christina agreed. “I loved it, man. You were living; you were in the moment,” she said.

His coach, Cee Lo, was incredibly supportive, saying that the bold choice “paid off,” and most importantly, he was glad to see Trevin “alive and happy and young.”

With the new setup, fans can vote for their favorite contestants by calling in, voting on Facebook or NBC.com, texting (for Sprint users), or by buying their song on iTunes. If you liked Trevin’s performance, be sure to vote at the end of the show!
