Though he made headlines for the feud he sparked between judges Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine, former Voice finalist Tony Lucca was much more than the drama.

The playful nature of his performances — including covering Britney Spears’s “Baby One More Time” and rocking out to “99 Problems” — didn’t overshadow the fact that Tony was a true talent.

His performance of “How You Like Me Now” lit up The Voice stage and solidified the contestant as a major player in Season 2.

Tony ended up placing third in the Season 2 finale this May, and some of the blame definitely goes to feuding coaches Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera (whose contestant Chris Mann placed fourth.)

But since The Voice, this husband and father has continued to pursue his passion for music.

At the end of July, Tony joined fellow Voice finalists for a live concert at The Grove. Tony also sang the national anthem at both the NASCAR All-Star Race and a Detroit Tigers game.

“I finally made a trip to Nashville, where I was actually able to get in there and write with some pretty amazing writers,” Tony told OK! Magazine.

As he continues making music, Tony has also stayed in touch with coach Adam Levine.

“[Adam] wants to be involved, and I want him involved,” Tony said.

There might even be a potential for Tony to tour with Maroon 5 in the future. As for his feud with Christina? The singer admitted things got pretty tense toward the end of the show, but have things changed now?

“It’s water under the bridge as far as I’m concerned,” he said. “For the sake of the brand and the show and all the wonderful people involved in making it … I really hope that Adam and Christina are able to work through things, because it got pretty heavy at the end.”

Amen, Tony. Amen.
