Even though all of The Voice coaches live in Los Angeles now, Adam Levine is the only one who was born there.
On the most glorious day in history, March 18, 1979, Adam was born in L.A., clearly destined for greatness. But he didn’t stay there forever.
After high school, he and his best friend Jesse Carmichael moved cross-country to New York, attending Five Towns College in Dix Hills, Long Island, but they dropped out to pursue a career in music. We’re thankful for that, though — together, they ultimately wrote and recorded Maroon 5’s first hit album, Songs About Jane. And the rest, as they say, is history!
