When Gwyneth Paltrow was named People Magazine’s Most Beautiful Woman this week, the Internet exploded with angry readers who seemed dissatisfied with the publication’s choice. We haven’t seen a riot like this since Bradley Cooper beat Ryan Gosling in 2012 for People’s Sexiest Man cover.

Fans of actresses Jennifer Lawrence, Kerry Washington, Amanda Seyfried, Zooey Deschanel all bashed the magazine for picking such a controversial star, who recently topped Star Magazine’s list of Most Hated Celebrities.

But one former Voice coach is tired of hearing from Gwyneth haters. Cee Lo Green took to Twitter on April 25 to defend his friend.

“stop hating on my girl @GwynethPaltrow! don't forget our performance at the grammys #ForgetYou!” he wrote.

That certainly would be a hard performance to forget. Back in 2011, Cee Lo took the stage to sing his hit song “Forget You” wearing rainbow-colored feathers and a suit of armor. He was joined by both the Muppets and Gwyneth Paltrow, who had covered the song on Glee earlier that year.

It’s nice to see Cee Lo standing up for his friend, but do you think Gwyneth deserves the title of Most Beautiful Woman? Weigh in below!
