The lights are off on another season of The Voice and we are left with the Season 2 winner Team Blake’s Jermaine Paul.

Before The Voice, Jermaine was a backup singer for Alicia Keys, Jordin Sparks, and Mary J. Blige. Now he is this year’s “Voice.” But what does that title mean?

It definitely doesn’t guarantee success.

Before his stint on The Voice, Season 1 winner Javier Colon spent four years as a recording artist with Capitol Records, and shortly after became an independent artist on his own label.

After The Voice, Javier produced another album, but it only peaked at No. 134 on the charts. His career hasn’t exactly taken off since his win, but will Jermaine’s be any different?

Jermaine’s win on The Voice was a surprise to many, and it has been argued that he wasn’t the most marketable contestant of the four finalists.

He definitely has the pipes for a singing competition, but how will he do with a solo career?

Jermaine did impress us with the variety of genres he sang through in the course of the show, so he definitely has the ability to be successful if he produces the right kind of album.

What do you think? Will Jermaine be more successful or Javier? Vote below!
