Plenty of singers have performed in bands by the time they reach The Voice stage, but not many of those bands have performed with groups like Cobra Starship and Fall Out Boy.

As the former lead singer for the punk rock band Hey Monday, singer Cassadee Pope has released two full-length studio albums — Hold on Tight and Beneath It All — and performed with a series of well-known groups.

Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz was a mentor for the band, and helped guide them to perform at major venues. Hey Monday has been featured on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and appeared on the CW show Hellcats.

Cassadee recently broke off to pursue a career as a solo artist, a decision that was validated in her blind audition when she turned all four chairs. Her rendition of Natalie Imbruglia’s “Torn” had the coaches getting out of their big red seats to cheer her on.

Each tried their best sales pitch on the 23-year-old, but surprisingly, it was Blake Shelton who won her affection.
