When this California native took to The Voice Season 3 stage, it wasn’t his first time. Danny Rosa had auditioned for the show last season.

Though he went home empty-handed last season, Danny fared much better this time around. Singing Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used to Know,” Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton turned for the 21-year-old and he ultimately went with Team Cee Lo.

Though Adam didn’t turn for him, the rocker did run up to give the contestant a huge hug.

The coaches were all thrilled to see Danny get two chairs to turn the second time around. They even remember that the contestant had asked for advice at last year’s audition.

According to his Facebook page, Danny plays ukulele-based music and typically sings songs of heartbreak.
