Many Voice contestants come with talent, but few have experience with talent competitions. Jordis Unga has both.

In 2005, she appeared on the CBS show Rock Star: INXS to rave reviews from many critics including People magazine.

Jordis made it to the final five contestants on the talent show. She had the top four most downloaded songs on MSN Music and even reached the number one spot at one point — an “unprecedented feat for an unsigned artist.”

She has performed in punk bands and pop collaborations and co-written songs with Oscar-nominated songwriters Anne Preven and Scott Cutler. She has also worked with Grammy-winning artist and producer David Hodges, and the lead singer of Better Than Ezra, Kevin Griffen.

Jordis’ performance of Paul McCartney’s “Maybe I’m Amazed” wowed the judges and convinced Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera, and Cee Lo Green to turn their chairs.

Blake’s sincerity was impressive when he said, “You’re the type of person I’ve been sitting here waiting for. Your voice makes me want to push myself to be that much better of a singer.”

And clearly his words worked because Jordis is now on Team Blake.
