In the blind auditions on The Voice Season 3, we were introduced to the beautiful and talented Amanda Brown. This former gospel singer was looking to work rock music into her wheelhouse, and chose to sing Amy Winehouse’s “Valerie” for her audition.

She took to the stage with ease, but as she neared the end of her song, no one had turned around. At the last minute, Cee Lo Green pushed his button guaranteeing her a spot in the competition.

And though she only got one button push, Amanda has gone on to be one of the front runners this season. Her live show performance of Journey’s “Dream On” had the coaches, audiences, and critics buzzing, and she constantly tackles some of the show’s most challenging tunes.

But why isn’t this former gospel singer still on Team Cee Lo?

If it weren’t for the new “steal” feature in the battle rounds this season, Amanda Brown wouldn’t even be in the competition right now. In the battle rounds, Amanda went up against fan favorite Trevin Hunte in an impressive display of vocal ability that left their coach unsure of how to proceed.

Cee Lo ultimately chose Trevin, but within seconds, the three remaining coaches had pressed their buttons for Amanda. So who got the honor of working with this impressive vocalist?

Team Adam scored this win! Do you think she could be one of Adam’s finalists? Weigh in below!
