Bet you didn’t know…
There’s a 25-mile stretch of Interstate 65 in Indianapolis names “Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds Highway.”

Though looks don’t matter with the Blind Auditions, this mentor is bringing more than just a pretty face to this season’s contestants.

Tagged “Babyface” by funk performer Bootsy Collins for his young fresh teenage face, this singer-songwriter, guitarist, keyboardist, record producer, film producer, and entrepreneur has a lot to offer to Team Cee Lo.

Babyface started his career writing and playing keyboards for a variety of bands R&B groups. He wrote and produced music for Bobby Brown and former American Idol judge Paula Abdul.

He co-founded LaFace Records, which featured a variety of popular artists including TLC, Usher, and Toni Braxton. Babyface has also worked with Whitney Houston, Boyz II Men, Madonna, Eric Clapton, Mary J. Blige, Carole King, Aretha Franklin, Al Green, Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey — just to name a few.

He has received three consecutive Grammy Awards for “Producer of the Year” from 1995-1997. In the mid-1990s Babyface and then wife Tracey Edmonds created the motion picture company Edmonds Entertainment Group, which produced the films Soul Food and Josie and the Pussycats.

Babyface will be joining Team Cee Lo as a mentor on this season of The Voice.
