Blind Auditions:

Michelle Chamuel auditioned for The Voice Season 4 with “I Kissed a Girl” by Katy Perry and was able to get Adam, Shakira, and Usher to turn around. Adam likened Michelle’s singing to stomping the earth (in a good way), and Shakira praised her for being a fierce “rough chick,” and practically begged her to join her team. Yet Michelle couldn’t resist Usher’s swoon-worthy smile, and decided to join his team after he declared her a “great talent” and asked her what genre she would like to be known for.

Battle Round:

On April 23, Michelle battled Chelsea M. with "Titanium” by David Guetta and advanced without much trouble. Unfortunately, her performance was part of a montage, so we didn't really get to see her shine. But that's what the knockout rounds are for!

Knockout Rounds:

On April 30, Michelle sang against fellow Team Usher constestant Audrey Karrasch with "Raise Your Glass” by P!nk, a rockin' performance that easily earned her a place in the live playoffs.

Live Playoffs:

During the live playoffs on May 6, Michelle wowed with a beautiful and heartfelt rendition of "True Colors" by Cyndi Lauper, which really showcased her softer side. Usher made her sing the song facing a mirror in rehearsals, a move that helped Michelle become more comfortable in her own skin. The coaches raved about her performance and so did we — but will America put her through to the next round? Click here to see how you can vote for Michelle.

Live Shows

After weeks of impressive performances, Michelle made it to the finals. She was named second runner up, losing to Danielle Bradbery, but beating third place contestants The Swon Brothers.
