This folk duo is comprised of funny friends Jon Peter Lewis and Ryan Hayes. You may recognize Jon, who made it to the Top 8 of American Idol Season 3 in 2004. He was referred to as a “pen salesman” by Idol judge Simon Cowell.

The duo was formed in 2010 after Jon and Ryan met by chance at an open mic night. When Jon asked Ryan to be part of the group, he replied "Mightas well (Midas Whale).” According to their official Facebook page, “They auditioned for The Voice because they heard Kate Middleton watches it and they want to co-marry her.”

We have a feeling that these two will be this season’s jokesters!

Can their cool sound and quirky personalities convince America to vote? Coach Adam Levine sure thinks so!

Blind Audition:

For their blind audition on March 26, the duo sang a super folksy rendition of Johnny Cash’s “Folsom Prison Blues.” With an impressive four-chair turn, the boys had a tough decision to make.

Shakira said she had a blast listening to their tune, and was even able to have a private chat with them in Spanish! "I hate it when they speak Spanish!" Adam chimed in, calling the guys "so good" and "so distinct." Blake cautioned the boys not to screw up their careers by picking another coach, and Usher tried to win them over by reminding them he was the first to turn.

In the end, Adam won over the duo — and he's ready to take them all the way!
