Patrick Dodd has a serious case of the blues! This Southern gent has been making music since he was 18 (when he played shows with The Patrick Dodd Band), but took a break from singing to focus on his wife and kids. Flash-forward almost a decade, and Patrick is back and better than ever as a top contestant on television's most influential singing competition!
Patrick is a seasoned veteran of the Memphis blues scene (he even won Entertainer of the Year at Beale Street), but his life has been far from easy. The good news? Patrick is back on track with his music after working for years as a landscaper, and even released an album called Future Blues with his band, The Patrick Dodd Trio!
We're rooting for Patrick, but does he have what it takes to win over America? Check out this soulful singer as he belts it out on The Voice, and make sure to head over to his Facebook page and website for more info!
Patrick auditioned for The Voice Season 4 with “Walking in Memphis” by Marc Cohn, and the coaches couldn't get enough of his bluesy voice. "That was awesome, I really really loved it. You have so much soul in your voice," Shakira said, while Adam added, "I love it and I love you, and I want you to be on my team."
Both Shakira and Adam Levine turned their chairs to see Patrick serenade them, but in the end he picked Adam as his mentor.
