Tawnya Reynolds took The Voice stage on March 26 with one intention — wowing the coaches with her classic Southern sound. This self-taught singer and guitar player moved to Texas shortly after graduating high school, and in 2001 made her way to Nashville, Tenn. with the help of her parents. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to secure a record deal in the home of country music, so this competition is her final chance to make it big.

With years of professional songwriting under her belt, as well as two full-length, self-produced albums (Carnival and Standing in the Rain), Tawnya hopes The Voice will take her country career to the next level. And with Shakira by her side, Tawnya might finally have her chance!

Blind Auditions:

Tawnya impressed the judges with the classic country tune “Mammas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys," written by Ed Bruce. Shakira, Adam, and Usher all turned for the crooner, but surprisingly Blake, Mr. Nashville himself, did not.

Shakira lobbied hard for the singer, while Adam complimented Tawnya for staying true to herself and Usher compared her to country icon Dolly Parton. Blake chimed in, adding that Usher discovered a superstar in Justin Bieber.

In the end it was the Colombian hip shaker who won over Tawnya's heart, and the unlikely pairing is sure to be one of the most exciting parts of Season 4!
