‘The Walking Dead’s Andrew Lincoln Leaving Show? He Denies It!
Update (10/8/15): Andy Lincoln himself has denied he's leaving The Walking Dead, telling Comicbook.com via a phone interview his reps dealt with those rumors "brilliantly" and adding, "There is no truth in that statement."
Original Story (9/14/15): It’s been well established that no one is safe on The Walking Dead so with a new report claiming lead Andrew Lincoln wants off the show, might Season 6 be Rick Grimes’ last?
Before you get all worked up and make arrangements to riot, allow us to explain more about the origins of this chatter that Andy wants off the highly successful AMC show.
NEWS: Good Job, Ladies, Norman Reedus Now Has a Complete Set of Breasts
In the latest print issue of OK! Magazine, the publication reports Andy is “planning his exit” from TWD. According to sources close to the British actor, he asked producers to kill off Rick because he has grown frustrated with having to fly his wife and two kids back and forth from their home in England to Georgia, where he works.
While we don’t doubt Andy missed his family at times, a rep for the 42-year-old tells Gossip Cop there’s “no truth” to rumors he’s asked to leave the show.
NEWS: What Happens Next on TWD Season 6?
Before TWD, Andy was largely known to American audiences as Mark, the poor sap who was in love with his best friend’s wife, in Love Actually. Now he’s a household name. We doubt he’d give up a starring role on a top-rated drama so quickly.
As far as TWD Season 6 goes, however, reliable spoilers suggest several characters will perish this year. What else is new?!
The Walking Dead Season 6 premieres with a 90-minute episode on October 11 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
