Demi Lovato: Someone Has to Put Simon Cowell in His Place!

America is meeting a new Demi Lovato on The X-Factor.

She told Us Weekly she never thought she would go blonde, but now she's having fun with it — complete with bangs that remind her of being 15 again. She looks good. She feels good. And even though she’s still taking a stand against bullying, which is something she's been through herself, she's not above some playful teasing of her X-Factor boss and fellow judge, Simon Cowell.

"I love messing with him," Demi said. "He's really funny and I have a lot of fun working with him. But someone has to put him in his place. I mean — you can't come to the United States from England and make fun of all of us! I have to stand up for my country."

Good for her! Paula Abdul was never that great at landing shots against the 53-year-old Brit, but maybe he just needed a 20-year-old former child star to show him who is really boss.
