We get it — some time the song you picked at the beginning of the week just isn’t working. You try everything to make it soar, and ultimately you realize the problem isn’t you, the choreography, the staging, or your costume. It’s the song. Nevertheless, isn’t changing your song at the last minute basically like committing X Factor suicide? And, if so, could Vino Alan be going home tomorrow?

Two weeks ago, Lyric 145 changed their song in the eleventh hour from “R.E.S.P.E.C.T.” — made famous by Aretha Franklin — to Queen’s “We Will Rock You.” And the switch may have cost them the competition. I mean, seriously, have you heard their rendition of “R.E.S.P.E.C.T.?” It’s kind of amazing. Instead their rendition of the Queen hit fell a little flat, in the eyes of the judges and, apparently, voters at home.

Tonight, Vino revealed that he and L.A. Reid decided to change his song at the last minute, too, and the judges were a little harsh on the final, hastily-arrived-at product.

Had he stayed with his original choice, do you think the results would have been different? And do you think Vino is in danger of being sent home?
