Sharon Osbourne Primed for X Factor UK Return: Report

Sharon Osbourne could be making a return to the British The X Factor, coming back five years after she left the show’s regular judging panel.

The outspoken wife of rocker Ozzy Osbourne was a judge for the show from 2004 to 2007, leaving the show out of exasperation with co-judge Dannii Minogue.

Since then, she has judged America’s Got Talent and co-hosted The Talk.

But now Simon Cowell is courting Sharon to return to The X Factor, according to a report by The Sun.

Simon had been reportedly pursuing both Sharon and former Spice Girl Melanie Brown for the position, but he’s had to default to Sharon after Mel B joined America’s Got Talent.

“Simon is a huge fan of Sharon,” a source tells the tabloid. “Things are looking good for her. She is in pole position.”
