Ask and you shall receive. Britney Spears allegedly told Simon Cowell that she wanted to be considered to take one of the chairs on The X Factor’s judges panel, left vacant by the firing of Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger. After initially playing it cool as to whether or not they wanted the 30-year-old pop princess, the show has made an offer — a big one at that.

After discussions with Simon, Brit Brit found herself with a $10 million offer for the second season alone. A salary like that would rank her up there with the likes of The Voice’s Christina Aguilera ($10 million) and American Idol’s Jennifer Lopez ($12 million).

Of course, we think Britney is well worth their money. After her highly-publicized meltdown in 2007, she’s made an amazing comeback while mostly managing to avoid the media.
