Nicole was born in Hawaii as Nicole Prescovia Elikolani Valiente to a Filipino father and a Russian/Hawaiian mother. When Nicole was very young, her mother remarried and moved the family to Kentucky. Nicole was adopted by her step-father and took his last name, Scherzinger.
