Milo Ventimiglia, who plays Jack, wants fans to focus on the Pearson patriarch’s life rather than his death.

"You have to understand that what we're telling, the stories we're telling are still gonna hit home, and you're going to discover more about this family that you fell in love with."

When Entertainment Tonight asked This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman if Season 2 would get feature a mystery on par with that of Jack’s death, Dan simply said, “Yes.“

But we’ll be getting answers in Season 2, as well.

“We’re going to answer all the looming questions people have right now. They’re going to be, in some shape or form, answered in the second season of the show. But we’re going to ask new ones by the end.”

"To be really honest I feel zero pressure on season two. I think we, on the creative end, are approaching it the same way," he told E! News

"We're just excited to be there. We don't feel any pressure to do anything grand or big, I think it's just continuing to tell stories of these really, really great people."

“One thing I can tell you, you will learn how Jack died in the first episode of season 2,” Larry spills, before Mandy says with a laugh, “That’s what we’ve been told."
