Tia Mowry Expecting Baby Number Two Amid ‘Sister, Sister’ Reboot News
Tia Mowry has a lot to look forward to in 2018!
The former child star has revealed she and her husband, Cory Hardrict, are expecting their second child together, just as news breaks about the highly-anticipated Sister, Sister reboot.
And we can't decide which we're more excited about.
The famous twin took to Instagram on November 8 to reveal some big news — they're about to become a family of four!
In the sweet shot simply captioned with four heart emojis, Tia's husband Cory and 6-year-old son, Cree, kiss her baby bump as they lounge around in their pajamas.
What a reveal!
Once the news spread, Tia got tons of congrats from her famous friends including her twin sister, Tamera, who's mom to two kids herself, Aden, 5, and Ariah, 2.
"Yaaaay! I’m going to be an auntie again," she wrote with a pic from her wedding.
"Couldn’t wait to share the news!!! So exited [sic] for my sister!!"
The Tia Mowry at Home star has been combatting pregnancy rumors for at least two years now, even telling Wetpaint in 2015 and again in 2017 that she and her hubs were definitely planning to expand their family one day.
And now, the time has finally come, folks!
And it's a busy time indeed for the Hardrict/Housley crew, as the sisters — who took this sweet family shot together on Halloween — are gearing up for the official Sister, Sister reboot that's been years in the making.
“[It’s] amazing and wonderful. My sister and I are taking meetings as we speak, so it’s definitely closer than ever to making this reboot happen," the mom to be tells Us Weekly.
"We are being told that they want it to be or happen next year in the fall. So, it’s going by so fast, everything,”
The 39-year-old also confirms they're working with the same team of producers from the original show that aired on ABC and The WB for six seasons between 1994 and 1999.
“We’re talking about working with the producers who were producers on the show 15, 20 years ago,” she adds.
“Just to be sitting in these meetings with them 20 years later, it’s crazy.”
But the series about twins who were separated at birth and then lived together with their parents under the same roof will obviously have to be updated to reflect the times and where the Mowry sibs are at in their lives now.
“I’d like it to be where we are in our lives right now," Tia concludes.
"We’re moms with children, but I would like for the show to really focus on sisterhood and the strengths and weaknesses of sisterhood.”
Congrats on the baby and the show, Tia!
