Tia Mowry: My Son Cree Taught Me What Unconditional Love Really Is
A lot of things changed the moment Tia Mowry-Hardrict welcomed her son, Cree, into the world back in 2011. She and husband Cory Hardrict became first-time parents and Tia got a lesson in a little something called “unconditional love.”
The Instant Mom recently dished to The Jasmine Brand about one of the first things she learned after becoming a mama: “what unconditional love is and really was.”
She explains, “If my husband was cooking and he had a raw egg in his hand and it fell on the floor, I would be like ‘What the hell?!’ but if my son did that, I would be like, ‘Aww baby. That’s OK. That’s alright, honey. We’ll pick it up.’ So you learn how to love unconditionally and I’ve been applying that to my everyday life so that’s what I’ve learned.”
The candid Tia adds that to live without love is actually one of her biggest fears in life.
“I think love, when you’re in love, when you are loved, it’s definitely a piece of heaven and when that’s taken away from you it’s really not a good thing,” she says.
“I fear that the world would lose love, stop learning how to love unconditionally, stop learning how to love all races, all socioeconomic statuses, all sexual preferences, that’s my fear — that this world will turn into a world full of hate because love is amazing and it’s beautiful.”
We’ve got to hand it to Tia. Girlfriend knows how to share the love!
