Tila Tequila Doesn’t Know That Pocahontas Was a Real Person
Apparently, Tila Tequila needs a quick American history refresher course. The reality beauty posted a selfie today proving that she’s getting her Disney fiction and real-life facts a little messed up.
The new mom captioned the pretty self-portrait, “I look very Indian here. Or if Pocahontas was real. Lol!” Unfortunately for Tila, the Native American icon definitely existed. The historical Pocahontas may not have been related to an especially friendly tree, and it’s unclear if she ever sang about colors of the wind — but she was still a person.
Tila’s followers on Facebook are now piling on the knowledge. “Pocahontas was real.... how didnt you know that?,” reads the first comment. Another follow later said to the reality star. “Pocahontas was real. Ummmmm you may consider some history classes.” One commenter gave Tila a full biography for Pocahontas with her birth year, aliases, and hometown.
Some people still wanted to help Tila out in the history department, but don’t seem especially upset. “Pocahontas was real. Lol. Love you Tila,” commented another fan, with three heart emojis for added effect.
She uploaded the same picture and caption onto Instagram, where a few people said similar things. Right now, Tila has answered a few comments but didn’t reply to anyone informing her about the true-life Pocahontas.
Hopefully Tila doesn’t start thinking all the Disney princesses were real-life women. Beauty And The Beast would be an especially difficult tale to wrap your head around.
