Bravo likes to keep everything within the family, and in addition to offering spin-offs to many of their current and former stars, the successful network is it’s own small world in a variety of other ways. For example, did you know that Kandi Burruss’ fiancé, Todd Tucker, was part of the production staff that worked on Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann’s wedding spin-off, Don’t Be Tardy?
We had no idea, and even Bravo bigwig Andy Cohen seemed surprised to learn that fact. All was revealed when the RHoA husbands were on Watch What Happens Live last Sunday and a caller wondered if the fellas missed Kim’s man, Kroy. The caller mistakenly called him “Troy”, which was good for a few laughs, but overall the guys all seemed to think that Kroy was a nice dude, though they didn’t know him for long.
“He was a good guy, cool guy,” Phaedra Parks’ husband Apollo Nida offered up. NeNe’s boo Gregg Leakes agreed, calling the footballer a “heckuva nice guy.” Gregg also noted that he first met Kroy the same night that Kim did, at Sheree Whitfield’s “Dancing With the Stars Atlanta” event.
But as we mentioned, it’s Todd who has the most interesting connection to Kim’s man.“I worked on the wedding” he said, at which point Andy remembered that Todd worked for the production company True Entertainment at the time. Todd left True when he got serious with Kandi, but that company produces both RHoA and DBT, so the overlap is understandable.
Todd didn’t offer up any additional feelings about Kroy, which makes sense since Kandi sued Kim over the song “Don’t Be Tardy For the Party” just last year.
