Tony Goldwyn: Scandal Finale Will “Re-Order the Universe”
As if things couldn’t get any crazier on Scandal!
Tony Goldwyn, A.K.A. the hunky and brooding President Grant, sat down with TheWrap to discuss this season’s finale and how it “reorders the universe.”
Maya’s bomb must pack a pretty big punch if it can accomplish that!
“I mean basically this finale just kind of explodes,” he told TheWrap.
Hopefully none of our favorite characters are around when that happens. We are still recovering from James’ death. We don’t know if we can bear to have any more beloved characters taken from us!
“Not only does everything come to a head as one might expect in a finale, but [show creator and writer] Shonda Rhimes just goes beyond what any of us ever expected. It’s very shocking what goes down and very moving. And, again sort of reorders the ‘Scandal’ universe.”
Last week we learned the bulk of Maya’s plan and watched as a bomb was set to go off at a funeral. Instead of reporting the threat, the cunning Cyrus Beene decided to stall the president in hopes of letting Vice President Sally Langston take the brunt of the attack. The bomb’s timer begins to tick down, and then... End of episode.
We are three seasons into Scandal, and we still can’t handle these cliffhangers!
