Tony Parker Marries Axelle Francine in Texas, Three Months After Son’s Birth
Yee-haw, everybody — Tony Parker just made it legal!
Tony, 32 — who also just signed a three-year, $43.3 million contract extension with the San Antonio Spurs — married French journalist Axelle Francine on Saturday, August 2 in San Antonio, a source told People.
Several friends and family members flew in from France for the wedding, which kicked off on Thursday with a reception at the Cowboy Dancehall. "It was just a little gathering," an employee told People. "He wanted to show them a Texas country good time." (Not that he’s a native; he was actually born in Belgium and raised in France. But he’s a Texas boy now.)
Tony and Axelle have been dating since 2011 and welcomed their first child together, a son named Josh, on April 30, 2014. Josh was actually born just hours before Tony had to head to work, helping the Spurs beat the Dallas Mavericks in the playoffs. Superdad won the game for his son!
The NBA star was married to Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria from 2007 to 2010, but the marriage crumbled after rumors of his infidelity.
Hopefully this union has more success. Congrats to the happy couple!
