Tori Spelling isn’t holding anything back in her new book, Spelling Like It Is — especially when it comes to her former pal, Katie Holmes.
In the book, Tori details how they first met when Katie was still Joey Potter on Dawson’s Creek, and how her opinion of Katie did a total 180 by the time they ran into each other at a music school several years later, according to Radar Online.
At first, Tori describes her as “exactly what you’d expect,” calling the actress “shy but engaging, and altogether pretty adorable.” Pretty complimentary, right? But it all goes downhill from there.
One of Tori’s most recent run-ins with Katie was while she was waiting to meet with her vocal coach, Eric Vetro, and she heard Katie “singing horribly off-key.” After her session, Katie stopped to say hi to Tori, and apparently, she was running cold after that.
“The signal from her was immediately clear: Don’t even come close,” Tori said. “I instantly got nervous. We clearly weren’t going to catch up on the last ten years. And we certainly weren’t going to talk about her husband, Tom Cruise.”
“She was just plastic. In a perfectly polite way,” Tori continued. “My pits were drenched. I never sweat. It was that awkward. I thought, I know you’re not a robot because you can’t sing for sh—t …”
And the shots just keep on coming.
“I felt sad for her. Those paparazzi photos, the ones where she looks like she’s miserable but putting on a happy face? That’s what she looked like in person.”
Yikes. Play nice, ladies!
